Responsibilities: Full forest tenure management including retaining equipment operators for in-house harvesting, equipment purchases, planning, harvest and trucking coordination, logging foreman and silviculture program management. Harvest level of 300,000 cubic meter per year.

150,000 ton Pellet Plant - Terrace, BC
Responsibilities: Complete feasibility, cost analysis, financial plan and fibre flow analysis of a 150,000 tons per year wood pellet plant. This included all referrals, First Nations relations and permitting.

Environmental Monitoring - Inuvik, North West Territories
Responsibilities: 100 km of fibre optics line environmental monitoring of clearing, road building and riparian management. Fortec was hired to ensure permitting requirements were adhered to and the First Nation interests were achieved. The project included the daily monitoring of construction activities, training of local employees in environmental monitoring duties and reporting of activities to the Territorial Government, Gwichin Council and contractor.

Planning Contract - Dease Lake, BC
Responsibilities: Supply the client with all forest planning and technical services for a Forest License in Bob Quinn Lake. 200,000 cubic meters per year of development. Services include permitting, stewardship plan approvals, and consultation with First Nations, community groups and other tenure holders.

Responsibilities: Full forest tenure management including development planning, harvest operations supervision, and silviculture program management. Harvest level of 200,000 cubic meter per year. This unique ongoing project requires close communication with the local community and First Nations.

Northwest Transmission Line - Terrace to Bob Quinn Lake, BC
Services provided: Completed the forestry effects assessment for the Northwest Transmission Line from 2007 to 2009. In 2012 Fortec completed 50 kilometres of transmission line engineering of right-of-way, roads and clearing standards for the Northwest Transmission Line.

Sustainable Resource Management Plan Negotiations - Kitwanga, BC
Services provided: Provided services for the negotiation of the Nass Sustainable Resource Management Plan covering the Gitanyow Traditional Territory. This very challenging project required negotiation skills to work with Government, industry and understand the unique culture of the first nations.
